The Webster Court Project 2017-2019
From the press release:
An old Victorian house sits vacant in Newton Massachusetts. Within the creaky walls and the overgrown lawn are dust coated cabinets, ornate paper, and fireplaces with coals preserved. Transformed by a collective of Boston-based artists, the house celebrates its history while simultaneously challenging concepts of home, environment, and identity. Using photography, painting, installation, video, and other media to offer a wide array of perspectives, these artists are challenging the viewer to re-contextualize their idea of home.
Featuring the work of Ola Aksan, Kimberly Barnes, Will Van Beckum, Samual Belisle, Teddy Benfield, Thalia Berard, Evan Blackwell, Krystle Brown, Soyoon Cha, Kathy Gearon, Quinn Guarino, Katie Lee Mansfield, Nicholas Khan, Willoughby Lucas Hastings, Lennon Michelle Wolcott Hernandez, Sally Lee, Sofia Plater, Kristen Powell, Cal Rice, Laidy Saenz, Jacob Schuab, Keegan Shiner, Mike Sim, Kenson Truong, J.R. Uretsky, Kate Wildman, Clayton Woolery, and Graham Yeager
